If you plan on releasing in app store this is not possible. However on toolchain the MoviePlayer framework has many more classes that you can manipulate to perform that type of action.

If you are not using audio, you can use Core Animation by feeding UIImages to a UIView Animation. It isn't a very clean way of doing it, but it should work.

first off - i admit: i'm a total noob when it comes to programming objective c

i really would like to use the movieplayer code snippet you have provided but i have some difficulties with it:

Do i have to setup some variables in the .h file of the class where i want to use the code? (i assume the code goes in the .m file, right? *g*)

Do I have to use a new view controller or does the code goes to the AppDelegate?

I would like the user to push a button to start the movie playback. Can i put the whole code into a function?

And finally: how (or better where) do i import the MoviePlayer framework?

I really hope that someone here takes the time to help me out, as you see I am totally confused and overhelmed by the mvc concept and all - my first time trying *g*

Oh ...it may help to tell you what i would like to achieve with my app:

i need a tabview app with 4 taps:

1 for "normal" text
1 for a "webview"
1 for a picture slideshow
and
1 for video playback

the first 3 views are up and running (somehow*g*)

and help is very much appreciated

all the best
yours Stefan
