Hi krishnan, the reason the URL for the post you were looking for is invalid is we converted the site from a forum to a blog a while back due to maintenance issues or lack there of. As for you question, I will try to look into that for you and get back to you asap.

Hi ,

I was trying to access a tutorial listed in your blog. But I could no longer access it. The URL is http://idevkit.com/forums/tutorials-code-samples-sdk/58-nsurlconnection-post-send-receive-data.html.

My Problem:
I use NSURLConnection to access https server. but I always get "lost network connection". Could you help me out of this trouble?

Regards,
krishnan.

What kind of system are you using right now? I was able to convey both of my PCs into what's called a hackintosh, a pc that boots in (snow) Leopard along with whatever other OS ou choose (Linux, XP, etc). I prefer this method for actual AppStore development because it gives you access to Xcode, the IDE for the iPhone and Mac OS. If you plan on becoming an actual developer I would highly recommend this method (it's cheaper than a mac, I asubmitted my first app from my leopard running HP dv6000). If you rather do more "shadey" development, you will want to look into toolchain, I am not too experienced with it yet, I'm trying to get it down his week so I can get a tutorial out on it soon. I hope this helps, if you have any questions, email me at sgianelli@sj-dev.com

Hi, I'm new to iPhone development: I have just bought an iPhone 3Gs and don't own a MAC.

I have found SEVERAL sites and books discussing about iPhone open development and toolchain, but I have not been able to build a working toolchain on Linux.

What can you suggest as a good starting point ?

Thanks

We're working on both toolchain and official sdk tutorials. Most likely these will be organized separately as to not cause confusion.
